Registration now open for ADHD camp
The Center for ADHD at Cincinnati Children’s again will be providing our evidence-based award-winning ADHD Summer Treatment Program (STP) for the 6th year! This program directly targets difficulties commonly experienced by children with ADHD in a camp-like setting.
During the STP, children enjoy the recreation of team sports and swimming while learning rules and building athletic skills. They express creativity through arts and crafts and attend the Academic Learning Center each day. During each activity (including transitions, lunch, and social situations), children receive direct clinical intervention with a two to one child-to-staff ratio, as well as two onsite licensed clinical psychologists. The amount of intervention time children receive during this program is equal to 250 hours of individual therapy, which would typically take at least 5 years to achieve! Parent group sessions (75-90 minutes) are offered once a week throughout the program to help parents learn effective behavior management techniques.
Parents can e-mail ADHDSTP@cchmc.org or call (513) 803-7708 to start the eligibility process. To view videos and receive additional information, visit www.cincinnatichildrens.org/STP

Currently, this program is not approved for health insurance coverage as a mental health expense. Health Saving/Flexible Spending Accounts may be eligible to be used. A payment plan is available. We do our best to make the program fun like summer camp, but it is intense treatment and a lot of support to go with it. The cost includes direct clinical intervention for more than 7 hours each day, plus enrollment in a weekly parent group and booster sessions throughout the rest of the year to help families maintain gains made over the summer. We have a two to one child-to-staff ratio and two onsite licensed clinical psychologists.
