Back-to-School Vaccination: Updates and Resources
Hamilton County Public Health, Cincinnati Health Department, and Northern Kentucky Health Department issued a joint press release encouraging families to make sure their children’s vaccines are up-to-date when returning to school. In the 2024-25 school year, 4.1% of US kindergarteners had a vaccine exemption. Only 88.3% of OH kindergarteners received both doses of the MMR vaccine last year (data on vaccine coverage and exemptions are available by county). As healthcare providers, we are an important source of truth for families on the importance of vaccination in keeping kids healthy. Some resources below:
