Endocrinology - Pathway for Urgent Referrals

For urgent endocrinology referrals, it is important to connect with a specialist prior to referral. For abnormal newborn screen or new onset diabetes referrals, it is recommended to connect with an endocrinologist via Physician Priority Link (PPL - 513-636-7997). This allows immediate recommendations and establishes a scheduled visit that matches the urgency of the patient’s need. If you have other significant concerns for a patient you are referring, you can also connect via PPL.

 All other referrals for any other concern can go through the routine referral pathway. Endocrinology also offers e-consults.
