Erika Stalets, MD, MS, To Fill New Associate Chief Of Staff Role

Erika Stalets, MD, MS, has accepted the position of associate chief of staff for critical care. This is a new position and addition to the Chief of Staff office, and will add focus on the unique opportunities for growth and alignment across the critical care units.  Stalets starts in the new role January 1.

Dr. Stalets is currently an associate professor of Pediatrics, and the interim director for the Division of Critical Care Medicine. After graduating from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, she completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Cincinnati Children’s. She completed the Quality Scholars Program in Healthcare Transformation through the Anderson Center and served as the medical director for the PICU before assuming the interim division director role.

In addition to partnering with clinical leaders in the PICU, CICU and NICU, Dr. Stalets will work closely with Patient Services leaders to execute on their shared goals.
