Young Women with Bleeding Disorders Clinic
Adolescent girls in your practice who may need further evaluation of various bleeding disorders can be referred to the Young Women with Bleeding Disorders Clinic. In existence since 2008 this clinic offers pediatric gynecology and hematology services together, to diagnose and treat teens and young adult with heavy menstrual bleeding, and does research to improve care. A comprehensive evaluation from a treatment team that includes a hematologist, gynecologist, physician assistant and nurse care manager will review symptoms, blood work and family history to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
Clinics are held twice per month at the main campus in the Cancer and Blood Institute, as well as Liberty Campus.
