New Headache Treatment Tool - A new treatment guide tool has been developed by the Cincinnati Children’s Headache Center to provide guidance for patients and families in the treatment of headaches at their onset. Please contact your physician liaison if you would like additional copies.

Liberty Campus Urgent Care Expanding Hours - Our Emergency Departments and Urgent Care sites continue to experience unprecedented volumes this year. Families have experienced 10-plus hour waits and many patients leave without being seen. Our Urgent Care sites are often filled with appointments before opening, and once these appointments are capped, families are forced to go the ED.

Opioid Use Clinic - Cincinnati Children’s opened the Opioid Use Treatment Clinic in July, providing medication to patients ages 16-21 struggling with opioid addiction. The clinic is specifically for patients using opioids such as heroin, Percocet, oxycontin, fentanyl, oxycodone, hydromorphone and Vicodin. Appointments will be every Wednesday, and the clinic anticipates 400-500 visits during the first year.

Redetermination News – Updated Ohio Medicaid Unwinding Toolkit - States will be required to restart Medicaid and CHIP eligibility reviews when the Public Health Emergency ends. 

Cincinnati Children’s HealthVine Spotlights Early Success – and What’s Next - The leadership of Cincinnati Children’s HealthVine, a pediatric accountable care organization (ACO) that serves over 100,000 kids and young adults enrolled in Medicaid through the CareSource insurance company, has shared highlights of the ACO’s accomplishments during the initial 18 months of operation.

Referring to the Reading and Literacy and Discovery Center (RDLC) - The Reading and Literacy Discovery Center (RLDC) is a program designed to advance children’s reading and literacy. We are committed to improving childhood literacy by identifying children with reading and learning disorders, such as dyslexia, and providing evidence-based strategies to families and educational professionals to help children achieve academic and lifelong success.
