The Psychiatric Intake Response Center (PIRC) — A Resource for Providers and Patients

The long hazy days of summer are coming to an end.  Beach bags are exchanged for book bags, alarm clocks are set for the early morning, pools are closed, and schools are open.  The start of school clubs, dances, and football games brings excitement and anticipation of the new school year. The start of the school year also brings homework, anxiety, and stress.

The Psychiatric Intake Response Center (PIRC) is available to discuss and coordinate options of care for your patients.  Simply call (513) 636-4124 to talk with a member of the PIRC staff regarding your patient’s concern.  A staff member will then reach out to the family to discuss the mental health concern and to schedule an urgent psychiatric assessment. This may occur in the Bridge Clinic or with an outpatient clinician in a setting that best meets the family’s needs.    Please call Linda Richey, Senior Clinical Director of PIRC, at (513) 636-0211, if you have any questions regarding how PIRC may best help with your patients and families.
