Cincinnati Children’s is encouraging families to update their address on their state’s Medicaid website to ensure they receive their renewal packet. Please encourage your patients to do the same to avoid a lapse in their coverage.
The updated toolkit now includes flyers in Russian, Spanish, Somali, Nepali and Arabic. COVID-19 Unwinding | Medicaid (ohio.gov)

Social Determinants of Health – Screening
Cincinnati Children’s Hospital has a taskforce that is looking at developing an institutional approach to screening for psychosocial health including screening for Social Determinants of Health, Depression, Suicide, and Substance Use. SDOH screening/response is being tested in a small number of areas ( General Pediatrics, Complex Care, Adolescent Medicine, Asthma Center, Diabetes Clinic, and A6NS (Inpatient Hospital Medicine Unit)) as part of this broader taskforce effort. There is a core screener that is being deployed by tablet or MyChart Bedside in these areas. This screener is available on paper in other languages to screen non-English speaking patients/families.
