HealthVine Updates - COVID-19 Vaccine Initiative
The Ohio Department of Medicaid has extended its COVID-19 vaccine initiative for all eligible children 5-17 years of age through June 30, 2022 in conjunction with a new quality withhold program for Ohio’s Medicaid Managed Care Plans and it’s delegated entities like HealthVine for the same time period. Ohio’s Medicaid Managed Care Organizations are offering both providers and members incentives to increase COViD-19 vaccination rates. A $100 gift card will be given to all members 5-17 years of age who receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination between now and June 30, 2022. Providers are eligible for $100 incentives for first, second, and booster doses of COVID vaccine administered. We are excited about the progress we as a community have made in increasing COVID-19 vaccination rates among children and we recognize that we have plenty of work to do! We look forward to continued partnerships with our Community Relations team, primary care practices, health departments, schools and community organizations in efforts to engage families, provide reliable information and plan future community-based vaccine events.
