2023 Resident Match Results - We are absolutely delighted to announce the results of the 2023 Match for the Cincinnati Children’s Pediatric Residency Program. These 60 new interns represent 41 medical schools, 24 states, and 3 countries outside of the United States. A complete list with photos can be found HERE. We are so excited for them to join the CCHMC family!
Respiratory Safety Protocols Updated at Cincinnati Children’s - To help ensure continued preparedness against respiratory illness year-round, Cincinnati Children’s is implementing a three-tiered precaution system based on the prevalence and spread of respiratory illnesses.
Faxing Requests to Clinical Labs-Using the Right Fax number - This is a reminder of the benefits of using this single fax number for all lab requests. Orders faxed to 513-636-3918 are accessible to our lab techs at all locations.
Dry Skin/Eczema Study - Cincinnati Children’s is conducting a research study to compare if a proactive skin treatment in early infancy can reduce the occurrence and severity of eczema and thereby prevent food allergy. Children 0 to 12 weeks old who have dry skin may be eligible to participate. Compensation will be provided for this study. Contact 513-264-6903 or SEAL@cchmc.org with referrals or questions.
Physician Parking - Location Change - In order to expand patient parking, the ER/UC physician parking entrance P4 has changed. Physicians that are parking can no longer turn left and enter the area by the A elevators. They should proceed straight ahead and present badge to card reader for entry. There are intercoms you can use to gain access. If you have any questions, please reach out to your physician liaison.

The library of Community Practice Support Tools can be accessed digitally via the Provider Hub or the newly redesigned PCP Support Tools app. Forthcoming CPSTs will include Warts and Molluscum, Idiopathic Toe Walking, and Failed Newborn Hearing Screening.
Healthvine Update - HealthVine’s Community Engagement liaisons look forward to meeting with our HealthVine behavioral health and primary care partners in the coming months as part of Spring Engagement meetings.
Pediatric Improvement Network for Quality Care (PINQ) Webinars - The Pediatric Improvement Network for Quality Care (PINQ) is a regional learning network focused on providing excellent and equitable care. Teams are currently focused on improving a set of well child and/or mental health measures.
Introducing the Cincinnati Children’s Subspecialist Library - We are excited to launch a new app for physicians – the Subspecialist Library. It will replace the Physician’s Toolkit (located in the Provider Hub). This app provides the latest information on Cincinnati Children’s subspecialty capabilities – including program fact sheets, institutional resources and more.
The Subspecialty Library will be coming soon to the Provider Hub and is currently available on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. Look for updates in next month’s Synapse.
Cincinnati Children’s Opens New Location In Centerville - Patient, families and local officials were among those who cheered the dedication of Cincinnati Children’s Centerville during a ribbon-cutting ceremony in advance of the medical building’s scheduled opening on Monday, March 6.
