Speech Language Pathology Access Update

The Division of Speech-Language Pathology is experiencing a heavy volume of referrals for services offered by the division. Work is underway to identify strategies that will increase our ability to provide services to more children and families. We are hiring additional SLP providers, and in addition to our base and satellite locations, we will begin offering speech and language services at the Community Health Service Networks in Mason and Liberty in July of 2023. We will have an intake coordinator dedicated to the division beginning in June to help streamline our referral process and smooth the scheduling process. We are encouraging the SLP staff to alert families that we do have a waiting list, and to offer alternatives to patients/families to pursue while they are on the waiting list, or to use in lieu of our services. We will share this resource list at the time of evaluation and will work with families to find the best treatment options, depending on the type and duration of therapy needed. For questions, please contact our office at 513-636-4341. We appreciate your support of our division and will continue to provide updates about our access improvement work!
