The Hospital-Based Violence Intervention and Prevention Program Nearing Launch

The Hospital-Based Violence Intervention and Prevention Program is a partnership between the  University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children’s, supported through grant funding received by the City of Cincinnati.  The program, which is led by Trauma Medical Directors Meera Kotagal, MD, MPH (Cincinnati Children’s) and Amy Makley, MD (University of Cincinnati), is focused on reducing the impact of violence on children and families.  The program is currently recruiting staff and is expected to launch later this summer.
