Cincinnati Children’s at the 2023 AAP NCE
The American Academy of Pediatrics National Conference and Exhibition took place in Washington, D.C. from October 20-24. With nearly 30 faculty presenting or at podium, Cincinnati Children’s had a strong presence this year. Representatives from our faculty joined the staff from Physician Outreach & Engagement in the exhibit hall. They had the opportunity to meet with thousands of conference attendees to share their expertise, discuss their divisions, talk with trainees about life at Cincinnati Children’s, and share helpful clinical tools.
Featured this year, the PCP Support Tools app and the Subspecialist Library app were a huge hit among attendees! These free apps have a wealth of resources. The PCP Support Tools app features Community Practice Support Tools which provide assessment and referral guidelines for community practice physicians. The Subspecialist Library app provides the latest information on Cincinnati Children’s subspecialty capabilities – including program fact sheets, institutional resources and more. The annual Cincinnati Children’s Alumni and Friend’s Reception during the AAP NCE was hosted by Drs. Richard Falcone and Brad Sobolewski. A crowd of nearly 100 alumni enjoyed Washington, D.C. inspired hors d’oeuvres and desserts. It was a festive atmosphere created to encourage fellowship and collaboration, and alumni from across the nation had the opportunity to reconnect. We had a special celebration for our long-time “Conference Queen” Ellen Georgilis. If you would like to congratulate her on the upcoming retirement, emails can be directed to alumni@cchmc.org.
