The Division of Plastic Surgery welcomes Dr. Raquel Ulma - The Division of Plastic Surgery welcomes Raquel Ulma, DDS, MD to the team. She is now accepting referrals. Dr. Ulma specializes in craniofacial surgeries such as cranial and maxillofacial reconstruction, cleft lip and palate, craniosynostosis, corrective jaw surgery, and more. Dr. Ulma also speaks fluent English and Spanish.

Cincinnati Children’s Opens New Behavioral Health Regional Care Center in Norwood - Cincinnati Children's recently opened a new regional care center for behavioral health in Norwood. The center is designed to provide increased behavioral health access for patients in need of intensive services and crisis intervention, while offering a central location that makes it easier on families.

Cincinnati Children’s Clinical Laboratories is phasing out non-rapid Strep testing beginning January 2021 - Starting in January, we will offer one Strep Test option, the Rapid Group A Strep test. Until now, we have offered two options for Strep testing, a Rapid direct-probe assay and a non-rapid, indirect-probe assay ordered as Strep A Molecular Detection.

Gastric electrical stimulation: A new treatment option for children with chronic gastroparesis - Most children with gastroparesis symptoms respond well to dietary changes, medication or therapeutic endoscopic procedures. When these therapies are insufficient, gastric electrical stimulation may be helpful

Patients With Small Burn Injuries Can Now Be Treated Here - Cincinnati Children’s will begin seeing burn patients in its Burn/Wound Care clinic on Nov. 16. The new service comes in anticipation of Shriner’s Hospital for Children’s move to Dayton Children’s Hospital in February 2021.
