Well-Child Visit Resource Packet Now Available
At the request of community providers like you, the Well-Child Visit Resource Packet aims to deliver both clinical and educational materials that support you during well child checks. For patients and other caregivers, we’ve developed educational resources that outline developmental milestones to look for in their children, including healthy ways to encourage infant, child and adolescent growth and development. These resources were developed by Cincinnati Children’s specialists and align with guidance from the American Academy of Pediatrics and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Each well visit, from 1 month to 17 years, has a corresponding single-page parent resource. A unique QR code exists on side two of each well-child handout and links parents and other caregivers to more in-depth, age-specific resources from Cincinnati Children’s and other reputable sources. By scanning the QR code on their well visit handout, parents can dive into 3-5 topics related to their child’s specific age group, like car seat safety, home safety, body safety, suicide prevention, digital safety, vaping and more.
Your physician liaison will be delivering the Well-Child Visit Resource Packet to you by end of September. In the meantime, feel free to access the resources (in black and white) for immediate use in your practice. The black and white formatting will allow for more efficient in-office printing.
