The Center for ADHD at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital again will be providing our evidence-based ADHD Summer Treatment Program (STP), which begins on June 10, for the 9th year! This program directly targets difficulties commonly experienced by children with ADHD in a camp-like setting. Children enjoy the recreation of team sports while learning rules and building athletic skills. They express creativity through arts and crafts and attend the Academic Learning Center each day. During each activity (including transitions, lunch, and social situations), children receive direct clinical intervention. Each group of 12-15 children will have 5-6 counselors and we have an onsite licensed clinical psychologist. Virtual parent group sessions (60 minutes) are offered once a week throughout the program to help parents learn effective behavioral techniques. We have been worked with physicians in the Division of Infectious Diseases to put safety protocols in place given the COVID-19 pandemic.
You can e-mail ADHDSTP@cchmc.org to start the eligibility process!
We encourage you to view our website that has videos and additional information: www.cincinnatichildrens.org/STP. A program flyer can be found here.

We do our best to make the program fun like summer camp, but it is intense treatment with a lot of support. The cost includes direct clinical intervention for more than 7 hours each day, plus enrollment in a weekly parent group to help families maintain gains made over the summer. We have an approximately two to one child-to-staff ratio in the program and an onsite licensed clinical psychologist.
