Cincinnati Children’s at the AAP/NCE - Faculty from Cincinnati Children’s met with over 2000 visitors to the exhibit booth at this year’s AAP/NCE in Anaheim, California. Being back in person in the exhibit hall was energizing and allowed the physicians to collaborate with their colleagues from all over the world.

Admission and Transfer Center Now Open - The new Admission and Transfer Center officially launched on October 17. Early feedback has been good for this new integrated system for admissions and transfers to Cincinnati Children’s. Read this useful FAQ to find out all of the details.

NEW Community Practice Support Tool - NEW Community Practice Support Tool now available:

The library of CPSTs can be accessed digitally via the Provider Hub or the newly redesigned PCP Support Tools app.

New Condition-Specific Referral Guide Now Available - Introducing a new resource for providers: Condition-Specific Referral Guide for Specialty Care. This tool was developed to help clarify certain aspects of the referral process. This tool includes:

  • How to make a referral

  • Key information to include with a referral

  • Where to refer patients for specific conditions (for which there are often questions)

Your physician liaison will deliver copies of this guide in November and December.

2023 ADHD Group Schedules Now Available - Register now for the 2023 Patient and Parent Group sessions.

Communication in Telehealth Compared to In-Person Care - A research team led by Ellen Lipstein MD, MPH, primary care physician and researcher, is studying how interactions between primary care providers and families differ between telehealth and in-person care.

OTPT Transition Services: Thrive Program to Pilot Groups for Adolescents and Young Adults with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities - Services for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) often taper off as they enter adolescence and young adulthood. To address this gap in care, the Division of OTPT developed the Transition Services Thrive Program. The Thrive Program aims to offer family-centered, group-based programming to adolescents with IDD ages 14 and up.

Cognitive Disengagement Syndrome (CDS) Specialty Service - The CDS specialty service in the Center for ADHD at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is the first clinical service in the world offering evaluation and therapy services addressing CDS in youth ages 6-17.
