Covid-19 Vaccination – Tips to encourage Families - New resources are available to share with families to help answer questions regarding Covid-19 vaccination.

Electronic ED Referrals Available Through Epic Link - Based on feedback from community providers, we have been testing and refining an electronic referral process.  The system is now available in Epic Link and enables providers to make electronic referrals to the Emergency Department any time of day

CareSource Terminates Cincinnati Children’s from the Ohio Marketplace Plan - Effective July 31 Cincinnati Children’s will no longer be an in-network provider for families enrolled in CareSource Marketplace. This does not impact families who are enrolled in CareSource through Ohio Medicaid and will have no impact on HealthVine patients.

NEW Community Practice Support Tools - A new Community Practice Support Tool (CPSTs) is now available online:

The library of CPSTs can be accessed digitally via the Provider Hub or the PCP Support Tools app. 

E-Consult Ordering Helpful Tips - Looking for a way to reach Cincinnati Children’s specialists with non-urgent questions? E-Consult ordering is a feature within Epic designed for PCPs to ask questions and receive a reply within three business days.

Clinic Spotlight - Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) Clinic and the Hemophilia and Bleeding Disorders Program - DCD is an often under-recognized pediatric disorder. The Division of Occupational Therapy & Physical Therapy ay Cincinnati Children’s has developed a targeted program to aid in identification of children with DCD.

The Hemophilia and Bleeding Disorders program is expanding care to Oxford, OH. New and existing patients ages 21 and younger can be seen out our biannual clinic at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital.

Summer Safety - Injury Prevention Resources - Unintentional injury is the leading cause of death for children in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). As activity levels rise during the summer months, we have developed a variety of educational resources to improve safety knowledge among families.

Reading and Literacy Discovery Center (RDLC) Updates - There have been many questions regarding referrals and criteria surrounding the services offered through the RLCD. This update provides additional clarification and guidance.
